BASF Coatings AG has been granted a patent for a water-dilutable coating composition comprising polyester, polyurethane and amino resins. The polyurethane is comprised of a mixture of at least two polyurethane compounds, wherein the polyurethane compounds comprise a reaction product of a polyester polyol that contains at least one carboxyl group, a polyol, and a polyisocyanate, wherein at least a portion of the polyol comprises a polyol that contains at least one carboxyl group, and wherein the polyurethane compounds each have a number-average molecular weight of from 1,000 to less than 20,000.
