Method for improving the transfer efficiency of paint

Gage Products Company has been granted a patent for a method for improving the transfer efficiency of paint. The method is comprised of the following steps: providing an additive comprised of a polymer having a molecular weight of at least 4,000,000; and a solvent for the polymer selected from the group consisting of glycol ethers, halogenated aromatic materials, and, combinations thereof; mixing the additive into a volume of a paint; and spray coating an article with the paint; whereby the additive improves the transfer efficiency of the paint.
