Bayer AG has been granted a patent for coatings with good adhesion to a variety of substrates, including heat-sensitive materials. The coatings are applied as liquid compositions, irradiated with UV radiation then post-cured with heat. The compositions contain (meth)acrylated, especially epoxy acrylate, group containing compounds, containing isocyanate-reactive group and free of (blocked) isocyanate groups and diisopropylamine-blocked isocyanate free of ethylenically unsaturated groups and photoinitiators.
