patent for a method of formulating a
coating for containment of VOCs in a
substrate comprising VOCs. The patent
comprises identifying a substrate material;
determining which VOCs are present
in the substrate in an amount to generate
undesirable emissions; and using
the information determined to formulate
a coating that is sufficiently incompatible
with the VOC to be contained as to
pass a VOC incompatibility test.
