MCBURNEY ELECTED: Thomas R. McBurney

MCBURNEY ELECTED
CHAIRMAN OF VALSPAR BOARD
Valspar Corp. has elected Thomas R.
McBurney, currently a director of
Valspar, to the position of chairman of
the board. McBurney, a non-executive
chairman, replaces Richard M.
Rompala, who is retiring after serving
seven years as chairman and 10 years
as chief executive officer.
John S. Bode has also been elected to
the Valspar board of directors. He has
broad experience in acquisition and
divestiture transactions, financial
reporting, risk assessment and interacting
with client audit committees,
according to the company.
