Siloxane-Based Surfactant
Tego Coating and Ink Additives has introduced Tego Twin 4000, a zero-VOC siloxane-based surfactant combining excellent substrate wetting and good defoaming properties. Designed specifically for water-based coatings, Twin 4000 exhibits a different aggregation behavior and higher surface activity and significantly reduces foam stability, according to the company. The 100% active product is a polysiloxane with organic modification based on Gemini surfactant technology, characterized by multiple symmetrical hydrophobic and polar group separated by a spacer. Tego Twin 4000 offers the high surface activity of siloxane-based surfactants for superior wetting and flow on a variety of substrates.
