Wal-Mart is rolling out a new paint fixture into select and remodeled stores this year. The display expands on the retailer’s colors assortment and features a selection of good, better and best paints including Colorplace, Dutch Boy and Kilz paints. In addition, Wal-Mart associates are receiving new training about upgraded paint equipment.
The 20-foot display features signage encouraging shoppers to visit the stores’ home goods department, where products can be selected that match a chosen color scheme.
The new fixture is expected to upgrade Wal-Mart’s appeal in the eyes of consumers while competing with big box paint displays of Home Depot and Lowe’s, according to the company.
