Degussa appoints GM coatings & col

Hans-Peter Schaufler has been named general manager of Degussa’s coatings and colorants business unit. He succeeds Thomas Hermann, who now heads the advanced fillers and pigments business unit. Schaufler joined Degussa in 1978 as laboratory manager for polymer research. Most recently, he served as managing director of Röhm GmbH, becoming head of the specialty acrylics unit after the merger of Degussa-Hüls and SKW Trostberg
