Texas Research International has received a patent for an epoxy topcoat comprised of a cured mixture that is formulated from an epoxy resin, an epoxide-containing toughening agent, optionally, an ultraviolet light stabilizer, a pigment, a glass fiber thixotrope and impact toughening agent, an optional abrasive aggregate, an optional fire retardant, an amine curing agent, and a rubber toughening agent other than the epoxide-containing toughening agent.
