PPG appoints GM: Mauro Eiras

PPG Industries has named Mauro Eiras general manager, architectural coatings, Latin America, to help expand its architectural coatings business in Latin America. Eiras will direct a new organization formed by PPG’s recent acquisition of the Renner Sayerlack architectural and industrial coatings business in Gravatai, Brazil; Santiago, Chile and Montevideo, Uruguay.
PPG has also appointed James J. Bogdan manager-sustainable design and green building initiatives. In this newly created post, Bogdan will accelerate PPG’s growth in the commercial construction market and position PPG as a premier provider of paint, coatings and glass to the green construction industry. In this role, he will serve as a conduit between practitioners of sustainable design and PPG’s performance glazings, architectural coatings and industrial coatings businesses. Bogdan will serve the sustainable design community by identifying new green building trends and opportunities and translating them into new products and services for green architects, designer and construction professionals.
