Ziegler resigns as FSCT

Robert Ziegler has resigned as executive director of the Federation of Societies for Coatings Technol-ogy (FSCT). He served as executive director of the organization since Jan. 2006. Prior to this assignment, he held the position of executive vice president from Oct. 1987. He also was general manager of the International Coatings Expo (ICE) for the past 20 years. During his more than 30 years of service with the FSCT, Ziegler acted in varying capacities. He began his career with FSCT as assistant editor. Over the next 11 years, he gained increasing responsibilities with the organization, including assistant manager of the Paint Show (now renamed ICE), managing editor of the Journal of Coatings Technology, and staff liaison with numerous Federation committees.
A task force comprised of members of the board of directors has been formed to find a replacement. Joseph Pontoski, secretary-treasurer and COO of the FSCT will assume responsibilities until a replacement is named.
