Jotun Boya in Turkey will supply interior paint to a new housing complex in Istanbul. More than two million square meters will be painted and this is the largest single project Jotun Boya has won.
“This is a fantastic project to supply paint to, not only because it is so big, but also because it has already given synergies in the form of new agreements,” said Ismet Uçarli, marketing manager in Jotun Boya.
The My World housing complex will comprise apartments, villas and a shopping center and will cover 34 blocks and a million square meters of housing. Jotun will supply paint worth more than $2 million.
“My World is Turkey’s most expensive project and they have a conscious strategy of choosing quality in all areas,” Uçarli added. “In recent years we have seen a big increase in the construction industry and because of the growth in the economy and fear of earthquakes it has been very important that contractors use the best products.”
According to the plan, the complex will be finished in 2007.
