Degussa Names Brand head of crosslinkers Business line
Gerd Brand, currently president of Nippon Aerosil Co. Ltd., Japan and head of the aerosil standard product line, will move to the coatings and colorants business unit. Following an orientation period, he will take over as head of the crosslinkers business line. Brand succeeds Wilfried Schmidt who after more than 27 years with the company, will begin partial retirement.
Brand joined Degussa in 1976 and has held various sales and marketing posts, most recently taking over the management of Nippon Aerosils in Japan, along with responsibility for Aerosil in the Asia region.
