Elementis Specialties has introduced Rheolate CVS-1, -2, -3 color viscosity stabilizers for water-based paint and coatings. Rheolate CVS series are specifically developed to eliminate or minimize viscosity drop upon tinting in deep and accent-based paint systems. The products act synergistically with associative thickeners and reinforces the thickener networks, stabilizing the tinted system.  Rheolate CVS products minimize both KU and ICI viscosity drop, provide more predictable viscosity upon tinting, offers better balance between sag and flow and leveling and are solvent and APE-free. In addition, the products do no affect other application properties such as scrub and block resistance, touch-up and gloss.
