Sun Chemical Corp. has named Myron Petruch president, performance pigments. Petruch, who will oversee Sun Chemical’s entire global performance pigments business, joins the company from BASF where he was responsible for their pigment and additives business for coatings. He also held a variety of management positions in Engelhard before it was acquired by BASF, including full profit and loss responsibilities for its global colors business and global absorbents/chemical catalysts business.
Sun Chemical also named Brian Leen president, North American Inks. In this role, Leen will oversee all of Sun Chemical’s North American inks businesses including Kohl & Madden, Rycoline, US Ink and North American Packaging. In addition to his responsibilities as president of North American Inks, Leen will also assume the interim role of president of North American Packaging.
Leen has worked within Sun Chemical’s pigment division for 18 years and most recently served as general manager and vice president of performance pigments. Leen sits on the board of directors with the Color Pigments Manufacturers Association, Inc. and KVK Denmark
