E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company has received a patent for an epoxy powder coating composition comprised of an intimate mixture of approximately 60-80% weight, based on the total weight of the powder coating composition, of at least one epoxy resin; 0.020-6.0% weight, based on total weight of the powder coating composition, of at least one alkanolamine; at least one epoxy curing agent in an effective amount to cure the powder coating composition; and 1.5-2.5% weight, based on the total weight of the powder coating composition, of at least one zinc borate compound; wherein the component are not reacted prior to being mixed together.
