Germanischer Lloyd, a classification society for the maritime sector, has tested and certified Relius’ coating systems for offshore wind turbines. As a producer of industrial coatings and construction paints, with years of experience in maritime corrosion protection, the company offers a program for the technically and ecologically sensitive offshore wind turbines, which are often subjected to extreme impacts. In collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute, Germanischer Lloyd subjected the products and systems to a long-term test over several years examining their effectiveness, reliability and durability. This makes Relius, part of BASF Coatings, the first company to receive the coveted certification in this area.
