Pruitt to retire from Univar: Gary Pruitt

Univar chairman and CEO Gary Pruitt has announced that he will retire as chief executive officer. He will remain with Univar as chairman of the board following the transition to a new CEO. Pruitt is a 30-year veteran of Univar. As chairman, Pruitt will continue to lead the strategic direction of the company. Pruitt and the board of directors have initiated the search process for his successor. The transition to a new CEO is expected to be completed by the end of 2009.
