BASF ’s automotive refinish brand, R-M, has expanded its greyshade primer portfolio to include Profiller Black, a VOC compliant two component poly­urethane primer. Profiller Black can be used in conjunction with Profiller Grey to achieve a range of greyshades. Two hardener options are available—D70 fast hardener, which is suited for low temperature application or rapid spot repairs, and D80, the normal hardener for high temperatures or application over large areas. Profiller Black can be low baked in 30 minutes at 60°C, or for really fast throughput, it can be dried in as little as eight minutes, using short wave infrared and top coated with Diamont, Uno HD or Onyx HD.
