Cytec Industries Inc. has launched Duroxyn VEF 2406 barrier primer and Duroxyn EF 2107 liquid coating resins. These products represent a new technology for effective tannin blocking coatings without the use of reactive pigments. These resins provide a platform for fast drying coatings with excellent recoat properties, according to the company. The coatings are below 100g/L VOC and still match or exceed performance properties of conventional solventborne tannin blocking primers.
