International Paint will invest $10.3 million to build a new testing laboratory for fire protection products at its manufacturing site at Felling, UK. The new facility will create 14 new jobs, and secure a further 30 at the site. The new laboratory will form part of a state-of-the-art Center of Excellence for Fire Protection. According to forecasts, the demand for fire protection materials is expected to double by 2018, mainly due to increasingly stringent fire protection regulations worldwide.
