Annually, United Gilsonite Lab­oratories (UGL) submits its current wood stain colors, both interior and exterior, to color experts and they analyze the trends and make suggestions. For 2010, UGL developed new colors based on a trend toward relaxing and soothing shades, shades that reflect the souls of the consumers in black, white and grays. White casts a clean, organized look, while the blacks and the grays reflex natural elements such as rock, minerals, etc. This leads to the third trend of bringing the outdoors in with browns, tans and greens. UGL’s new colors and names for the ZAR Interior Stain Line include Coastal Boards, Mocha, Black Onyx, Amber Varnish and Merlot; the ZAR Exterior Stain Line includes Sage, Deep Desert Sand and Prairie Gold.
