General Motors Europe (GME) and Standox recently signed a cooperation agreement by which the German paint manufacturer officially received Europe-wide approval of its products for all paint repair work performed on Opel and Vauxhall branded vehicles. As part of GME’s efforts to improve the performance and quality of its bodyshops, the scope of the agreement has been expanded to cover aspects which go beyond product approval. Under the terms agreed, Standox will support the European Opel and Vauxhall dealership networks in all technical matters related to professional vehicle refinishing. This also includes a comprehensive knowledge transfer, with Standox playing an active role in the training programs organized by GME for its bodyshops. Standox experts will offer training events and seminars on refinishing techniques and coloristics and give advice to the bodyshops in other areas, such as process improvements and business management.
