PPG Industries has appointed Gregory Benckart general manager, automotive refinish USCA, with responsibility for PPG’s automotive refinish business in North America. Benckart is currently general manager, sales and marketing North America, automotive refinish. He will continue to work at the PPG Automotive Refinish headquarters in Strongsville and to report to John R. Outcalt. Benckart has worked for PPG for more than 29 years in sales and marketing positions of increasing responsibility, serving in roles such as manager of distribution for fiber glass reinforcements, director of marketing for OEM automotive glass, director of sales for chlor-alkali and general manager for fiber glass.
