Arch Chemicals Elects Two Executive Vice Presidents

Arch Chemicals has elected Joe Shaulson and Luis Fernandez-Moreno executive vice presidents. Shaulson, who previously served as senior vice president, wood protection and personal care ingredients at Arch, will have responsibility as executive vice president for the global operations of Arch’s industrial biocides, personal care ingredients and performance products businesses. He joined Arch in 2008 as vice president, strategic development, and he has played a key role in sharpening Arch’s focus on its biocides business portfolio. He led the team that divested the non-biocides industrial coatings business earlier this year to The Sherwin-Williams Company.
Luis Fernandez-Moreno has been named executive vice president with responsible for the global operations of Arch’s HTH water products and wood protection businesses. Fernandez-Moreno comes to Arch from The Dow Chemical Company, where he served as vice president of Dow Coating Materials. He assumed this role upon Dow’s acquisition of Rohm and Haas in April 2009. Prior to that, he was the business group vice president of the Rohm and Haas paint and coatings materials division.
