Sun Chemical introduces reddish blue pigment for automotive coatings

Published July 13, 2011
Sun Chemical has launched Palomar Alpha Blue 60, a reddish blue high performance effect pigment for coatings that can maintain its color properties for years under the impact of sunlight and other harsh weather conditions, according to the company. In addition to its strong weatherfastness capabilities, Sun Chemical Performance Pigments’ Alpha Blue 60 can be used in both water and solvent systems for OEM, refinish automotive and industrial coatings. Alpha Blue 60 pigments have the added benefits of excellent viscosity and easy dispersion, and its unique transparency and travel provide the visual appearance that is required for red shade blues used in metallic and effect automotive coatings.
