Dow Microbial offer new dry-film preservative

Dow Microbial Control has launched Bioban 358, a new dry-film preservative. Bioban preservatives help protect a wide range of paint and coatings formulations from microbial contamination. Bioban 358 is a combination of DCOIT, OIT and Diuron active substances, which does not contain carbendazim, VOC or IPBC. Its active ingredients do not contain heavy metals. Its performance is characterized by excellent DCOIT platform. Bioban 358 is a water-based dispersion, exhibiting excellent formulation capability and even at low doses is capable under controlled conditions of maintaining long-term, effective protection against both fungi and algae, according to the company.
