Ashland to hike prices for intermediates and specialty solvents in North America

Ashland Specialty Ingredients, a commercial unit of Ashland Inc., is increasing the price of its portfolio of intermediates and specialty solvents sold in North America effective Oct. 1, or as contracts allow. Prices for 1,4 Butanediol (BDO) will increase by eight cents per pound; prices for N-Methyl-2-Pyrrolidone (NMP), N-Ethyl-2-Pyrrolidone (NEP) and Gamma-Butyrolactone (BLO) will increase by 10 cents per pound; and prices for Tetrahydrofuran (THF) will increase by 12 cents per pound.
