Dur-A-Flex names David Hughes vice president of marketing, research and development

Dur-A-Flex has named David Hughes vice president of marketing, research and development. Hughes is a former business director of BASF Corporation and a business line vice president for Ciba Specialty Chemicals.

In his new role, Hughes will direct research and development with a focus on new innovative applications and product rollouts. He will also oversee Dur-A-Flex’s marketing efforts, which include the tradeshow channel, lead generation program and product management.

While at BASF, Hughes’ role as business director included overseeing marketing, sales, business development and technical service. He also served over 12 years with Ciba in various roles from business vice president, procurement, new business development, sales and supply chain in a variety of businesses focused on the coatings and related markets.

Dur-A-Flex is a privately-held manufacturer of epoxy, urethane, methyl methacrylate and colored aggregates offering a complete line of high performance polymer flooring and wall systems.
