Saint-Gobain Ceramics and Plastics, Inc. has been granted a patent for a composite material comprised of a polymer matrix; and a pigment dispersed in the polymer matrix, the pigment is comprised of an alumina hydrate particulate material and a dye. The dye is directly covalently bonded to an oxygen atom on a surface of the alumina hydrate particulate material.
