PPG Industries has been granted a patent for a food can coated at least in part on the interior with a composition comprised of a greater than 7% weight, based on total solids weight, of an acrylic polymer having a weight average molecular weight of greater than or equal to 60,000 and an acid value of <30 mg KOH/g; and a crosslinker, wherein the composition is substantially epoxy-free and substantially polyester-free.
