Henkel Corporation has been granted a patent for a high impact resistant article comprised of a breakable substrate bonded to a flexible substrate, wherein the breakable substrate is bonded to the flexible substrate using a pressure sensitive adhesive prepared by combining a nonsilylated acrylic polymer and a silane-functional polymer, wherein the silane-functional polymer is a silane-terminated polyurethane prepared from polyoxyalkylene diol, polyoxyalkylene triol, polycaprolactone diol or polycaprolactone triols; and said silane-terminated polyurethane has a glass transition temperature of below -20° C.
