Lonza Microbial Control has announced that, due to dramatic price increases of the key raw material iodine, they have implemented a global 10 to 40 percent price increase, depending on the formulation, for OmacideTM biocide products, based on 3-Iodo-2- propynyl-n-butylcarbamate (IPBC). These products are typically used in metalworking fluids and coatings.
