Cabot Corp. has received a patent for a dispersion comprised of a liquid vehicle,  a pigment and a non-polymeric dispersant comprised of at least one group having an affinity to the pigment and at least one functional group having a calcium index value greater than or equal to a calcium index value of 1,2,3-benzene tricarboxylic acid, wherein the vehicle is an aqueous vehicle, and wherein the functional group is comprised of at least one hydroxy pyridonyl group or at least one hydroxy quinolonyl group.
