Ferro Corporation has obtained a patent for a composition comprised of intentionally added synthetic mixed-metal oxide pigment particles, wherein at least 10% weight of the synthetic mixed-metal oxide pigment particles have a Cu1+Cr3+O2 crystal structure, and wherein at least approximately 70% weight of the synthetic mixed-metal oxide pigment particles having the Cu1+Cr3+O2 crystal structure have a plate-like morphology.
