Coatings and Adhesives Corporation recently announced a price increase on all lines of its high performance water-based, energy curable coatings and adhesives. Coatings and Adhesives Corporation said that although the company is always working to reduce costs, the increases in the costs of styrene, benzene, other special chemical compounds and transportation have increased the cost more than the company can absorb through increased efficiencies and other cost containment methods.

While materials based on delivered pricing will vary, on average material increases FOB Leland, North Carolina will be: water-based coatings will increase by 5%-8%; energy curable materials will increase by 2%-5%; and cold adhesives will increase by 3%-6%.
