In 2018 SAPICI launched several new materials for the waterborne coatings market in China, including Bluecryl, Hydrorene and Bluepur, respectively acrylic dispersions, polyisocyanates for waterborne systems, and PU dispersions. SAPICI entered the Chinese market for around 12 years and they now have a production plant in Zhuhai which has a capacity of 15K tons per year. Marco Meloni, Global Business Manager, SAPICI, said that they are increasing SAPICI’s market presence in China by following the government’s Go-to-West policy, and the demand in the west is really catching up. And the company is also planning to increase their sales in north China, such as the area surrounding Beijing.
