Emerald Kalama Signs Letter of Intent to Acquire Innospec Widnes LTD

Emerald Kalama Chemical, a business group of Emerald Performance Materials LLC, has announced that it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire Innospec Widnes Limited, subject to the standard legally required review processes and approvals. Emerald is a portfolio company of American Securities LLC., a leading private investment firm. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Innospec Widnes Limited, a subsidiary of Innospec Inc., is a leading manufacturer of aroma chemicals at its location in Widnes, United Kingdom.  These high-purity ingredients add fragrance to perfumes and household products.  The Innospec Widnes business will become part of the Emerald Kalama Chemical flavor and fragrance business.

Fielder, vice president of Emerald Kalama Chemical’s flavor and fragrance product line stated, “The acquisition of Innospec Widnes helps us accomplish several key strategic goals.  With the acquisition, we are taking a significant step to expand our footprint, global reach and service to customers in the flavor and fragrance industry.
