BASF’s coveted Innovative Product of the Year Award for 2014 was given to PT Hutchins, a KODA Distribution Group company. Jon Kleinman, Territory Sales Manager and Doug Kercher President of PT Hutchins accepted the award from BASF last week in Florida at the Annual BASF Distribution Partners Meeting. The criteria for winning The BASF Innovative Product Award is based on which distributor in NAFTA delivered the most innovative product sold in the prior year. According to BASF ED, no other distributor pushed BASF harder for a “new” product to meet an application for an opportunity of roughly $1MM. Because of PT Hutchin’s persistence in working with the formulation additives group, BASF was able to modify some existing technology to produce a new product that specifically fit the customer’s unique application. Doug Kercher proudly exclaimed, “PT Hutchins prides itself on innovative solutions, technical expertise and responding to market/customer needs.”
