HMG Paints Wins Business of the Year Award

HMG Paints Ltd won the Manchester Evening News (M.E.N), Business of the Year Award in the £10m – £25m turnover category at this years’ M.E.N Business Awards ceremony.

HMG Paints was shortlisted amongst two other neighboring Manchester-based firms, Godel Technologies and Utilities Design and Planning.

HMG claimed victory after impressing the judges with the company’s engagement within the region and commitment to the community of Manchester, as well as progressing achievements in innovation.

At the forefront of HMG’s innovation is its involvement in the PolyGraph Project. The aim is to incorporate Manchester founded Graphene (an allotrope of carbon) into practical uses for composite, coating and adhesive applications.

HMG has gone on to release a range of graphene infused coatings into the market, predominantly for commercial vehicle and automotive applications. These specifically designed coatings are prolonging the usable life of vehicles and structures, reducing the environmental footprint of the manufacturing process.

The awards evening recognized firms across an array of sectors including retail, manufacturing, technology, finance, fashion, and construction.
