For MRO Greater China, AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings will highlight its Aerofleet Coatings Management portfolio designed to help airlines and MROs improve coating performance, inspection accuracy and workforce readiness. It will also be showcasing its Aerofleet Training+ Virtual Reality (VR) technology.

Included on stand will be the newly launched Iris CMX (Coatings Management eXpert) drone. The new drone utilizes a 3-in-1 contact based sensor providing targeted, high-precision measurements of dry film thickness, color and gloss to help airlines to build a more accurate picture of coating condition and optimize maintenance planning across the fleet.

Applicator training will also be a topic for AkzoNobel at the show. With skilled painters in high demand and more international airlines repainting in China, AkzoNobel will be demonstrating its Aerofleet Training+ VR platform throughout the event. The immersive technology simulates a virtual paint training environment that allowing applicators to build skills through realistic simulation and real-time performance feedback without the need for waste, downtime or further material use.

The inaugural MRO Greater China marks a significant milestone in the aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) industry, integrating a high-level industry conference with specialized exhibition zones across 20,000 sqm of space. As demand continues to increase across China the need for stronger local supply, faster responsiveness and more resilient supply chains has grown. MRO Greater China reinforces AkzoNobel’s ongoing investment into regional infrastructure, operational capability and technical excellence.

Marius Vasiliu, Regional Sales Director, at AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings Asia Pacific, says that the AkzoNobel’s attendance reflects its continued progress in Asia Pacific: “As China’s aviation market continues to expand rapidly, operations across the industry are scaling to meet the rising passenger demand. In response we have continued to invest in our local offering, for example our color blending facility in Dongguan has been fully certified by COMAC, Airbus, Boeing and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), allowing us to stock, blend and deliver coatings directly to customers within China.

“We are proud of our work in the region, such as being selected for the first COMAC C919 delivered to China Southern Airlines, and helping to create its ‘Beautiful Greater Bay Area’ livery. Crafted by our local team in Dongguan, the aircraft featured a palette of 44 AkzoNobel colors to achieve a full-body custom design. Our attendance at MRO Greater China will provide further opportunities to meet with industry leaders and experts to build more relationships within the region.”

AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings will be on Stand A3, showcasing how its data-driven insights and immersive VR training are helping shape modern aerospace operations.
