WEG reaffirms its commitment to sustainability by announcing that its coatings business unit in Argentina has signed an energy supply agreement with 360Energy, a company that generates electricity exclusively from solar energy.

Through this partnership, WEG Coatings has begun using 100% clean energy in its production processes, contributing to industrial decarbonization and reducing environmental impacts.

360Energy is recognized for its performance in generating electricity exclusively from renewable sources, using state-of-the-art technology to produce clean energy on a large scale. Through its photovoltaic solar power plants, the company plays an essential role in the energy transition and in promoting sustainable practices among its industrial partners.

The energy supplied by 360Energy is generated by photovoltaic solar parks, a comprehensive and sustainable solution that directly reflects WEG’s sustainability strategy, strengthening the adoption and expansion of renewable energy use across its operations.

The supply of renewable energy will allow WEG Coatings to avoid the emission of approximately 223 tons of CO₂ per year.

WEG’s sustainability strategy encompasses several initiatives focused on environmental preservation, including investments in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and carbon emissions reduction. The use of 100% renewable energy at its coatings facility in Argentina demonstrates, in practice, the values the company promotes globally.
