AkzoNobel will introduce an exciting new finish for exterior metal applications at METALCON 2018 at the Charlotte Convention Center on Oct. 10-12, 2018. POLYDURE Expressions, a revolutionary print system that adds depth and dimension to exterior finishes by using a combination of texture over a print pattern, will be showcased. The AkzoNobel booth (707) will also display other popular products, including CERAM-A-STAR Expressions, CERAM-A-STAR Frost, CERAM-A-STAR Matte and TRINAR Matte. “The POLYDURE Expressions product makes an outstanding metal finish achievable for all customers,” said Julian Cass, regional director, North American Metal Coatings business. “This product is the next step in our offer to deliver more aesthetically pleasing finish options for consumers. Paired with our unmatched color and technical leadership, the new product gives customers the opportunity to develop novel and unique metal coatings in a really efficient process.” AkzoNobel will also unveil updates to Canopy, a digital app that provides a color finder, product information and the latest AkzoNobel news. The app has a new color tab function that gives users the ability to visualize coil and extrusion products on real surfaces and has improved filter functionality to help users quickly find the right color. Visitors to the AkzoNobel booth can also learn more about COILTEC CF65, a revolutionary new primer that is completely chrome-free. Developed specifically for the building products market, COILTEC CF65 delivers effective corrosion protection for metal substrates without the use of chromium. This primer, which is backed by nearly 20 years of test data and performance history from numerous installations in the field, has been commercially available since 2017 and is easy to convert to.
