AkzoNobel Powder Coatings’ new superdurable Interpon D2525 Futura 2026–2029 Collection is now available across South Asia. Inspired by the enduring appeal of classic design and the evolving demands of contemporary architecture, the collection brings together expressive finishes, advanced textures and a renewed perspective for the built environment.

Developed to align with the future direction of architectural color, the Futura 2026–2029 Collection provides architects and designers with a forward-thinking palette to create on-trend and enjoyable spaces for work, leisure and relaxation, and for decades to come.

A fusion of past heritage and forward thinking

As a reference point in architectural design for over two decades, Futura has long guided the industry’s approach to color, finish, and material expression. The 2026–2029 Collection continues that legacy with two palettes that connect generations of design in one creative language supported by superdurable performance that will stand the test of time, weather, and wear:

  • High Serenity presents soft, nature-inspired tones, including warm stone, calming metals and quiet browns, enhancing spaces with subtle texture and understated elegance.
  • Bold Adventure introduces energy and momentum, with expressive colors that glisten and sparkle – from earthy reds to regal blues – alongside finishes that are designed to inspire creativity and exploration.
  •

Jorrit van Rijn, Global Marketing Director at AkzoNobel Powder Coatings, says:
“Futura has always helped Asia’s architects express their vision with a superdurability that can withstand the demanding coastal, humid and tropical climates seen in the region. This new collection blends heritage design inspiration with ideas that push concepts forward, giving customers colors and finishes that feel both timeless and completely fresh.”

Sustainability built in – as a standard

Every color in the Futura 2026–2029 Collection comes with sustainability built in. Not only is its superdurability extending product lifecycles, but it also delivers high-performance environmental benefits as standard across the entire range:

  • Volatile Organic Compound-free technology reduces environmental pollution and improves workplace safety.
  • Minimal waste during application relieves pressure on local waste systems and improves production efficiencies when compared to liquid alternatives.
  • Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) provide cradle-to-grave transparency of AkzoNobel’s commitment to utilizing sustainable raw materials and low carbon manufacturing processes. Products with EPDs contribute to leading Green Building schemes, such as LEED and BREEAM.

“Sustainable coating choices should not come at a higher cost or as a specialist option,” says Van Rijn. “But simply the way high-performance architectural coatings should be made: efficient, responsible, and ready for the future.”

This built-in sustainability places the new Futura Collection squarely within the AkzoNobel Powder Coatings’ ECO+ portfolio, featuring its most advanced and rigorously proven sustainable powder coatings. Futura reflects Interpon’s commitment to value-driven sustainability by delivering solutions that perform on the line and support long-lasting design without asking customers to compromise.

“Futura empowers architects to own their impact,” Van Rijn says. “By embedding durability and transparency as standard, it delivers practical, tangible benefits that help architects and fabricators make responsible choices with confidence and aligned with the future they want to create. Our Futura 2026-2029 Collection shows what we stand for: inspiring design grounded in heritage, built with the future in mind, and delivered with sustainability as standard. We believe responsible choices should come naturally.”

With its fusion of expressive color, technical excellence, and responsible innovation, the Futura 2026–2029 collection gives architects a powerful way to shape the next generation of building design — confidently, creatively, and with impact.
