As part of the effort, Florida Paints has donated $114,000 to Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopka to help provide paint and coatings for the 19-home development.\

Nineteen Central Florida families will soon be one step closer to achieving the dream of homeownership as Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopka moves forward with Legacy Square, a new affordable housing community in Sanford, FL.

The donation will support Legacy Square, a $7.2 million development designed to transform underutilized land into a vibrant neighborhood of energy-efficient homes.

Once completed, the community will provide a pathway to affordable homeownership for qualifying families while helping address the growing need for attainable housing across Central Florida.

“At Florida Paints, we’re proud to support projects that create lasting impact in the communities we serve,” said Mike Davis, Executive Vice President of Florida Paints. “A home provides stability, opportunity, and a foundation for families to build their future. We’re honored to support Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopka and help make homeownership possible for more Central Florida families.”

“We are deeply grateful to Florida Paints for their continued support and commitment to strengthening our community,” said Penny Seater, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopka. “Their dedication helps make safe, affordable homeownership a reality for so many of our neighbors and helps to keep the American Dream of Homeownership alive.”

Florida Paints has a long history of supporting community-focused initiatives across the state, including partnerships with nonprofit organizations, neighborhood revitalization efforts, and housing-focused projects that strengthen local communities.

The partnership will be highlighted on June 17 during Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopka’s Wall Raising Ceremony, marking a major milestone for the development and the families who will one day call the community home.

Representatives from Florida Paints, Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopka and community partners will gather for the Wall Raising Ceremony on Wednesday, June 17, from 8 to 9 a.m. in Sanford.
