Ford Motor Company hosted its 15th annual World Excellence Awards (WEA) at the end of May and BASF Argentina Coatings was honored with a Gold award which is awarded to the top 5 percent of qualifying suppliers who demonstrate superior quality, delivery and cost performance. “We are honored by this recognition from Ford. This is a good example of teamwork between customer and supplier. It highlights the great commitment and capability of our team to offer the innovative solutions that Ford needs to be successful”, said Sergio Haberstroh, Ford Regional Account Manager at BASF Argentina Coatings. BASF Argentina Coatings operates locally from the Tortuguitas site as an integral part of BASF “The Chemical Company” and supports Ford by combining modern paint processes and technologies. BASF offers a broad array of color solutions and development capabilities that enable carmakers to improve productivity and environmental performance. “Our partnership with our suppliers played a pivotal role in the progress we made on the One Ford plan in 2012”, said Tony Brown, Group Vice President, Global Purchasing for Ford Motor Company. “Our WEA winners have shown a dedication to excellence and we thank them for helping Ford serve customers with the best vehicles in the world.”
