Lanxess Corp. recently opened its Pittsburgh-based Technology Center. The North American labs for the Technical Rubber Products, Material Protection Products and Functional Chemicals business units have been consolidated into the new Lanxess facility. The new lab offers a state-of-the-art aging room, mixing room, biological testing lab, colorant lab, extruding lab and analytical testing space. “As the region’s newest chemical company, Lanxess has exceeded all initial expectations,” said Randy Dearth, president and CEO, Lanxess. “Innovation has been a big part of our success, and our investment of over $5 million in a new technology center is another important milestone.”
