Nippon Paint Holdings Co., Ltd. has announced that effective January 1, 2027, the company will reorganize its Japan subsidiaries. The business operations and functions of Nippon Paint Surf Chemicals Co., Ltd. will be split and integrated into two other consolidated subsidiaries. NPSU will be dissolved and Nippon Paint Industrial Coatings Co., Ltd. will absorb the general industrial surface treatment agent business and all production functions across the entire surface treatment agent business. Nippon Paint Automotive Coatings will absorb all functions related to automotive surface treatment agents, with the exception of production functions.
The Japan Group has been advancing organizational management to achieve further growth through a matrix structure in which businesses are overseen by four functional CXOs. Going forward, the Group will transition to a structure that enables the integrated provision of surface treatment products and coatings products, which have previously been provided separately by each subsidiary, across the entire Group. Through this new structure, the Group aims to further strengthen product development and technical service capabilities, thereby enhancing competitiveness and customer satisfaction.
