The ChemQuest Group announced that Robert (Robb) Lovegrove has been named the third CEO in the company’s 50-year history. Daniel Murad will remain actively involved in the firm as chairman.

Lovegrove joins ChemQuest after a 13-year tenure with Milliken & Company, spending the last 10 years as vice president of Corporate Strategy/Corporate Development. There he collaborated with senior leadership to transform the company’s portfolio and accelerate the pace of economic value creation across the enterprise.

Before joining Milliken, Lovegrove spent 10 years in progressive strategic marketing and business leadership roles with Eastman Chemical Company and BFGoodrich.

“Robb has joined ChemQuest at an exciting time in our history,” said Daniel Murad, ChemQuest chairman. “As we celebrate 50 years in business, and I reflect on my 30 years with the company to date, I’m filled with gratitude and pride in our team’s dedication to excellence in support of client success. That commitment has led to many meaningful and long-lasting relationships with highly knowledgeable and talented people in specialty chemicals, like Robb, who has been a friend and client of ChemQuest for more than two decades.”

“I am excited to join ChemQuest and work alongside Dan Murad,” Lovegrove said. “Under his stewardship, ChemQuest has grown considerably, particularly in the last decade or so. I have turned to Dan and the ChemQuest team for various projects over the years, and I am continually impressed with the depth of their knowledge, the precision of their recommendations, and the true professionalism they operate with.”
