ShayoNano was named the 2017 Frost & Sullivan Entrepreneurial Company of the Year.

According to ShayoNano’s VP of Sales and Marketing, John Falsone, the award recognizes the company’s “strong R&D effort” for the past decade, as well as a strong potential for “major growth in the coming years.”

The Singapore-based ShayoNano, which develops and supplies proprietary nanochemistry products, recently opened a new facility in the Houston suburb of Stafford, Texas.

Per Patel, SmartHide™ and SmartIR Roof™ – “two economical alternatives to titanium dioxide for use in the paints and coatings industry,” Falsone said – are being produced at the new plant.

SmartHide was developed for use in architectural paints and the latter for cool roof coatings, Falsone added.
